Leonardis Proposes Journalism School for Young Italian Americans
SAE Group president outlines the initiative at NIAF’s 51st annual Gala in Washington
Good evening, everyone.
I would prefer to speak in Italian, given my poor English.
Being here is deeply moving for me because it reminds me of the importance of our roots and our attachment to our beloved homeland, Italy.
From the very beginning, when we first conceived La Stampa USA, we decided to pursue this project together with you. You will be our point of reference as we work to better understand the Italian American community and the United States.
We will seek to tell the story of our country more effectively, above all by highlighting Italy’s business community. We will organize three major events each year to foster stronger ties and synergies among everyone involved.
To support Italian companies investing in the United States, we have signed an agreement with SACE, Italy’s export credit agency. The partnership will also support investments in Italy by Italian American entrepreneurs.
We are a company that expects to generate around €250 million in annual revenue by year-end, with significant margins. We like to be practical. That is why we have proposed launching a training school with NIAF dedicated to the “Journalism of the Future,” aimed at young Italian Americans. Some of them, in turn, may become our future journalists.
Long live NIAF, long live La Stampa USA, long live Italy, and long live the United States!
